Jabuticaba (Plinia cauliflora) is a fruit native to Brazil, sometimes called the "Brazilian grape tree" — and it's quite unusual because the fruit grows directly on the trunk and main branches of the tree rather than on stems or twigs. The fruit looks like large dark purple/black grapes with a thick skin and sweet, translucent flesh inside.
